Role Overview

You will manage archaeological projects from quotation to completion, oversee site work, maintain legal and professional standards, and support business growth through client relationship management and new opportunities. Additionally, you will lead and develop team members, contribute to public engagement, and uphold company values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver archaeological projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Support business development and client relationship management.
  • Manage site activities, oversee subcontractors, and ensure compliance.
  • Lead public engagement initiatives and contribute to marketing efforts.
  • Line manage staff, support their professional development, and identify training needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven archaeological project management experience and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of UK archaeology legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong network within local planning authorities and the archaeological sector.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture.
