Job description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is the national support body for the Further Education (FE) and Skills workforce. They champion the educators and leaders who empower learners aged 14 and above, setting professional standards, driving excellence in teaching and leadership and enabling career-long development.

The Talent Set are proud to be partnering with ETF to appoint a Brand Marketing Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract position. Offering hybrid working, 1-2 days a week in their London office and a salary of £44, - £46,

The Brand Marketing Manager will shape and grow ETFs presence across the FE and Skills sector. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, youll lead the development and activation of a compelling brand narrative, ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints. Your work will drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement for core CPD offers and key events.

Some of the key responsibilities include :

  • Lead the development, evolution, and activation of ETFs brand narrative across all communications.
  • Ensure internal teams and external partners consistently reflect ETFs purpose, values, and voice.
  • Manage creative agencies, freelancers, and content producersoverseeing briefs, timelines, and quality control.
  • Plan and execute integrated, always-on marketing campaigns that build awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement.
  • Oversee newsletter and content delivery to ensure alignment with brand strategy and audience needs.
  • Support website content, optimisation, and branding to enhance traffic, conversions, and user engagement.
  • Coordinate cross-team marketing planning and delivery aligned with customer, market, and channel goals.
  • Monitor campaign budgets and report on marketing ROI, brand performance, and KPIs.
  • Maximise ETFs presence at sector events and manage sponsorship opportunities to generate awareness and leads.
  • Line manage and develop the Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, contributing to an agile and performance-driven team culture.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas :

  • Strong background in brand development and campaign management, ideally within education, public sector, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering multi-channel, marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Proficient in planning, asset development, and campaign performance analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in messaging and content development.
  • Strong stakeholder management and team collaboration skills.
  • Confident working with creative agencies and third-party suppliers.
  • Commercial awareness with strong budget management and ROI reporting.
  • Track record of innovation and applying current marketing trends and techniques.
  • Proven line management and leadership capabilities.
