About The Role

Job Summary :

McGowan Environmental Engineering Ltd, an Aviemore based company specializing in environmental projects in remote rural locations, including national parks, moorland, and high ground throughout Scotland and Ireland.

Due to increased workload, we require a full-time Environmental Operative to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in some of the most beautiful rural areas of the country. If you love the outdoors and seek a new challenge, are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently or as part of a team, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

• Constructing hand-built upland paths as part of a small team
• Undertaking manual works on peatland restoration projects
• Assisting plant operators with machine build path and estate track construction
• Assisting in pedestrian bridge and boardwalk installations
• Undertaking ground reinstatement works to a high standard
• Providing assistance during project helicopter operations
• Performing bespoke stonework, such as drystone walling
• Following site rules and company procedures to work safely
• Adhering to instructions from Line Manager and Site Supervisor
• Reporting accidents, incidents, or near misses to your supervisor
