Eddie Stobart is currently looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team in Sittingbourne . The role is based on a Morrisons site in Sittingbourne and involves store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, manual handling, drop and swaps, and general trunking.

Job Description

Available shifts and start times :

Start times will be within a two-hour start window.

  • Sunday-Thursday 18 : 00 (also responsible for covering shunter holidays)
  • Tuesday-Saturday 19 : 30
  • Sunday-Thursday 01 : 15
  • Tuesday-Saturday 01 : 45
  • Thursday-Monday 00 : 01

Starting salary from £42,304 per annum based on an average of 54 hours per week.

  • Monday-Friday days - £15.00 / hr (including meal allowance and tier payment)
  • Monday-Friday nights - £16.30 / hr (including meal allowance and tier payment)
  • Saturday and Sunday days - £18.00 / hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)
  • Saturday and Sunday nights - £18.50 / hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)
  • Bank holidays - £18.81 / hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)

    • Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
  • Valid HGV 1 / C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
  • No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD / DR convictions
  • Understanding and compliance with driver’s hours and WTD legislation
  • Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects
  • Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements
