Role Description

Note : This is a Night shift role, Monday-Thursday, 21 : 48 - 06 : 00, Friday 17 : 58 - 00 : 00.

Job Purpose : Reporting to a Glasgow shift lead, the successful candidate will maintain equipment and repair faults as directed, as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team.

Shift Pattern

Phase 1 : Rotating Day shift, up to 12 weeks training.

Phase 2 : Night shift pattern, Monday-Thursday 21 : 48 - 06 : 00, Friday 17 : 58 - 00 : 00.

Site Equipment Includes

Syrup Room

Canning lines (>

60,000 units / hour)

Maintenance of equipment like Kisters, Depalletiser, Palletisers

Onsite services including Boilers and Compressors

Bottling and packing lines

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, food hygiene, and quality standards.

Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Fault find on automated equipment and carry out repairs and modifications.

Support preventative maintenance schemes and operational improvements.

Maintain accurate records in CMMS systems.

Monitor equipment efficiency and implement improvements.

Maintain work areas to 5S standards.

Record and communicate equipment adjustments.

Perform fault diagnosis and first-line repairs, including lubrication and changeovers.

Communicate effectively during handovers and with other departments.

Participate in projects, trials, and additional duties as required.

Adhere to food safety and quality policies.

Requirements

Electrical Engineering qualifications, including apprenticeship.

Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience with CMMS systems like SAP.

Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.

Proactive approach to problem solving.
