Almond Family Pubs are incredibly excited to be launching a brand-new premium pub in the heart of Cheadle Hulme. Currently known as Platform 5, this site is undergoing a major refurbishment and complete rebrand - and we’re on the hunt for a visionary General Manager to bring it to life.

This will be a flagship, food-led site with around 200 indoor covers and a further 230 outside, combining beautiful interiors with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Think bustling weekends, show-stopping Sunday roasts, and a premium menu crafted with care. This is a big opportunity, and we’re looking for someone who’s up for the challenge.

With a superb selection of stunning pubs all located in and around the Stockport area, Almond Family Pubs is a special place to work. 100% family owned, we are a close-knit team of people who are passionate about working in great pubs and delivering incredible customer service. We’re well known for our delicious carveries, tasty pub classics and great beers and wines, and this will be the 5th pub to join our family.

As General Manager, you will :

Lead from the front, inspiring and managing a large front and back of house team

Be responsible for all operational aspects of the pub, from recruitment and rotas to service standards and compliance

Drive excellence in hospitality, food quality, and customer experience

Collaborate with our central team on marketing, events, and community engagement

Manage P&L, stock, budgets and business performance to maximise profitability

Be a brand ambassador for Almond Family Pubs and the face of this exciting new venue

What we’re looking for…

Proven success in managing high-volume, food-led venues

A strong background in premium hospitality, ideally with experience of large sites and large teams

Inspirational leadership skills and a hands-on, people-first approach

High standards for food, drink, cleanliness, and customer service

Commercial acumen and the ability to hit targets and drive sales

Energy, resilience and a true passion for pubs
