We’re looking for a mid-level full-stack developer to help us build intuitive, powerful tools for financial advisers - everything from meeting transcription and document generation to CRM updates and AI-powered workflows.
As an early member of the engineering team, you’ll be hands-on with everything from product development to architectural decisions. You’ll work closely with the founding team, contribute to the roadmap, and have a direct impact on the future of the company.
Tasks
- Design and build the front end and orchestration layer of generative AI products for the IFA and wealth management industry. We use Vue / Nuxt.js on the front end, and Node / Sails.js in our orchestration layer, and MongoDB as our main database
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the PlannerPal engineering team - specifically our UK-based AI engineering team and our offshore development team
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s founders on shaping the product roadmap
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or related Developer Education (e.g. a reputable coding bootcamp)2+ years experience of designing, developing, shipping and maintaining backend applications using Node / Sails.js and front end-web applications using modern javascript frameworks (ideally Vue / Nuxt.js)Has experience of working with both MongoDB and AWS hosting and backend services (e.g. Cognito, S3, SES)Has experience of designing, building and maintaining automated continuous integration testsHas experience of working with other developers in an agile set-upHas experience of debugging and fixing live incidents in a time-pressured situationHas experience building automated continuous deployment pipelinesIdeally has experience of building both front end code that matches precisely what’s in a Figma design and improvising based on the user story and a site’s design languageHas a strong understanding of industry trends and development best practices - especially regarding security and application performanceHas a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a team-oriented work ethicHas strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaborationIs proactive, initiates, and offers assistance even without being askedBenefits
