Field Service Engineer (Local Travel)

Salary : GBP37,000 - GBP47,000 Basic with OTE around GBP20k

Location : Essex - Regional Travel

Core Hours : Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Are you looking for a field-based role where you're not spending most nights away? Do you want a position where the majority of work is within a 1-hour commute of your home? Our client is seeking a field service engineer to support maintenance and servicing of machinery at large customer sites. The company primarily serves clients in industrial sectors such as power stations, aggregates, chemical, and oil & gas industries.

The successful candidate will have experience in similar environments, be able to start immediately, and understand the working environment. Although this is a field role, travel is mostly within 1 hour from home, with the benefit of returning home daily.

Skills required for the Field Service Engineer :

• Electrical engineering background, including rewiring electrical systems
• Experience in heavy industries such as aggregates, power, oil & gas, chemical, waste / recycling (including anaerobic digestion plants), petrochemical, HV
• 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification
• Ability to pass a background check
• Full clean UK driving license
