Job Title : Technical Coordinator
Location : Charing, Ashford
Salary : £40,000
Hours : 40 Hours per week – Monday – Friday 08.00 – 17.00 with 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Job Summary
To assist the Technical Manager in implementing food safety, quality, and hygiene practices across the UK business. Provide competent and efficient support to both Internal and external customers.
To maintain site technical systems with compliance against required customers standards. To trend, identify and communicate any deviations from the standards in the process of audit against the systems.
Teamwork
Support other members of the technical team regarding issues as they arise.
To work closely with members of other teams throughout Ardo.
Actively assist others to find solutions to problems.
Contribute ideas and solutions to improve the team’s service delivery.
To cover for the Raw Material Intake Coordinator in their absence.
Communication
Communicate with other relevant departments within Ardo, at all levels.
Share information with team.
Keep the Technical Manager informed regarding any issues.
Competent using different platforms of communication such as teams, email, telephone, written correspondence, online customer databases.
Strategic
To understand the importance of HACCP and to work closely with colleagues throughout the business to ensure that we, at all times, maintain the necessary standards.
With guidance from the Technical Manager ensure that, in all customer complaint correspondence, a professional image of Ardo is portrayed.
To assist the Technical Manager with ad hoc projects i.e., process validation, launch of new products etc.
Analytical
Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
Embrace the QMS system and use this as a tool for continual improvement.
To trend data in order to report any out of ordinary spikes in complaint, micro or quality issues.
Responsibilities & Expertise

Compliance
Maintain a full understanding of the legal requirements required within the departments and within the business to be able to operate with full legal compliance.
Personally comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments relevant to the role and industry responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of Food Safety training and HACCP Level 2
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Food Manufacturing Industry
Good level of PC literacy
Proactive attitude
Ability to work on own initiative but also as a team.
Understanding of Microbiology and hazards
