This is a rare opportunity to join a growing practice where your contribution is truly valued, and your career can progress in a supportive and close-knit team environment.

About the Role :

You’ll support the private client team in delivering high-quality, empathetic service to vulnerable individuals and their families. The focus will be on Court of Protection (COP) matters, including assisting with the day-to-day management of client affairs, deputyship applications, and liaising with a range of professionals and family members.

This is a varied and rewarding role with significant client contact and opportunities for professional development. You will play an integral role in helping ensure smooth and compliant case handling — with a strong emphasis on accurate time recording and administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supporting solicitors with Court of Protection and deputyship matters
  • Drafting letters, legal documents, and client correspondence
  • Preparing and filing forms / applications to the Office of the Public Guardian or the Court
  • Liaising with clients, carers, medical professionals, and other third parties
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and deadlines
  • Ensuring accurate and timely time recording for all activities
  • Assisting with financial administration, including reviewing statements and processing invoices
  • Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations

About You :

  • Previous experience in a legal support or legal admin role (private client or similar)
  • Experience or interest in Court of Protection, deputyships, or vulnerable client work
  • Confident in accurate time recording as part of daily processes
  • Empathetic, professional, and able to communicate sensitively with clients
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • IT literate and familiar with case management systems (training can be provided)
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Why Join?

  • Join a growing boutique firm with a genuine interest in your long-term development
  • Supportive and collaborative working culture
  • Career progression opportunities into fee earning, paralegal, or case handler roles
  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Flexible and realistic approach to work-life balance
