Role Overview :

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are seeking an experienced Manual Turner to join their skilled team. The role involves working with large components, typically ranging from 1 to 3 metres in diameter and made from various materials.

There will also be opportunities to work on CNC lathes, with training provided for those interested in developing their skills.

Hours : Monday - Thursday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM; Friday, early finish at 4 : 00 PM

Contract : Full-time, 39.5 hours per week

Overtime : Available at enhanced rates (double time Sundays, time and a third midweek, time and a half Saturdays) with early starts when overtime is scheduled

Key Responsibilities :

• Operating manual lathes to produce one-off parts and small batches (typically 1-30 pieces)
• Manufacturing components that vary from roughing to high-precision parts
• Supporting other manufacturing cells as required to ensure smooth production flow
• Handling large components, often requiring the use of overhead cranes
• Demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the team and business needs
