An excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established company

Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary : Competitive Salary of £32,500 - £38,500 Per Annum, Negotiable Depending on Experience.

Location : Ipswich.

Schedule : Monday Friday 40 Hours Per Week.

Additionally, they are one of the UK leading experts in lithium battery technologies for forklift trucks.

The company is currently looking for skilled and experienced field service engineers to join their growing team. This role comes with an excellent salary and annual bonus (potential earnings of £40k+ with overtime which is paid at 1.5x) , a company pension, a fully expensed company van, 25 days holiday +bank holidays, and the opportunity to work for one of the most reputable independent forklift dealers in the South East.

About The Role :

Their Field Service Engineers are based from their homes and from there attend customer sites to carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of forklifts and material handling equipment. The engineer liaises daily with their designated service controller who is responsible for arranging and planning the engineers working day as efficiently as possible. Jobs are sent to the engineer electronically via our bespoke management system, and this is where all the work the engineer completes is documented. Many of our engineers choose to do overtime which is not limited and is paid at time and a half.

Responsibilities Include :

Conduct regular maintenance, repairs and services on forklifts and materials handling equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance

Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions via protean management system

Communicate effectively with customers and service office to ensure we continuously deliver the best service to our customers

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a valid driving license

Candidate Requirements :

Full driving licence

GSCE C grades or above in English, maths and mechanical C&G or NVQ level 2 equivalent

3 years+ experience in the materials handling industry (as an engineer)

Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience preferred

Proficient in fault finding and repair

Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice

Commitment to continuing personal and professional development

Excellent organisational skills

A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to multi-task

Ability to work independently or in a team

Good communication skills
