Job description
Role Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on planning matters, including Section 106 Agreements and planning obligations.
Draft and negotiate legal documentation including deeds and agreements.
Attend and advise at Planning Committee meetings once a month.
Handle planning-related enquiries, some licensing issues, and high volumes of FOI requests. (Highly desirable but not essential)
Liaise effectively with planning officers and keep them updated on progress.
Ensure timely and efficient file management with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with prior local authority planning law experience.
Strong communication and client-handling skills.
Availability to work part-time (22 hours / week) and attend in-person meetings monthly.
Experience with information governance or FOI is highly desirable.
