We are seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer in Warrington to support the HVAC Capability team in all aspects of HVAC and Building Services design and delivery.

Some of your duties will include :

  • Designing ventilation systems based on room data sheets and principles.
  • Calculating air change rates for cooling and containment, airflow rates for duct sizing, and developing HVAC fire and control philosophies.
  • Producing HVAC system design deliverables, specifying heat rejection equipment such as air / water cooled condensers, heat pumps, and heat recovery systems.
  • Developing system schematics and engineering flow diagrams (EFDs).
  • Mentoring junior staff, graduates, and apprentices in nuclear ventilation design.

Requirements :

  • Knowledge and experience with UK regulations.
  • Ability to perform and verify psychrometric calculations.
  • Understanding of steam and condensate processes and system design.
  • Proficiency with industry software such as Hevacomp, Open Buildings, AutoCAD 2D / 3D, Revit, and Pipenet.
  • Experience in producing technical documentation like functional specifications, design basis, equipment specifications, and validation plans.
  • Extensive experience in building services design.
