Job description

Job Title : Litigation Solicitor

Location : East London

Salary : Competitive (£40,000 - £55,000+), based on skills, qualifications, and interview performance

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our client's dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in litigation, a keen analytical mind, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a varied caseload of litigation matters, including civil disputes, contractual issues, and property disputes.
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including case assessment, pre-trial preparation, and advocacy in court.
  • Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and negotiations.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal procedures.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of three years PQE in litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of managing and resolving litigation matters effectively.
