The Jane Lane School is a thriving special school based in Walsall catering for 5 - 16 year olds with MLD / Complex Needs and close links with Castle School.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class Teacher. We will consider Early Career Teachers.

Requirements :

• create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all pupils;
• assess pupils’ abilities and needs;
• use and review planning to deliver a comprehensive curriculum;
• develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual pupils needs;
• give instructions, using techniques appropriate to the pupils needs;
• record and evaluate pupils progress;
• supervise pupils in the classroom and maintain discipline;
• liaise with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists;
• update and maintain pupils records to monitor development and progress;
• discuss pupils progress with parents and other teaching professionals.
