Heaton Mersey Medical Practice is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our well-established and supportive team for 6 sessions per week. We are a friendly, forward-thinking practice with a strong sense of community and an excellent local reputation.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to the patients of Heaton Mersey Medical Practice, working within the NHS framework and adhering to GMC guidelines. As a valued member of the clinical team, you will contribute to ongoing practice development, maintain excellent clinical standards, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of our patient population.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical services to patients in line with GMS / PMS contract requirementsConduct face-to-face, telephone, video and online consultationsManage acute, chronic and minor illness presentationsCarry out home visits when clinically appropriateMaintain accurate and timely patient records using EMIS WebIssue prescriptions and manage medication reviews in line with best practiceInterpret and act on diagnostic test results appropriatelyParticipate in the management of long-term conditions and QOF deliverySupport the practice with enhanced services and local incentive schemesTeamwork and Practice Contribution
Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, and administrative staffAttend and contribute to regular clinical and team meetingsAssist in training and supervision of medical students and junior staff (if applicable)Participate in audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiativesEngage with the local Primary Care Network (PCN) where relevantAdministrative Duties
Complete tasks and referrals in a timely and safe mannerProvide appropriate documentation for patient reports, insurance, and other third-party requestsFollow up on communications from secondary care and community servicesProfessional Development
