Job description

Overview

Expleo has an exciting opportunity for experienced Stress Engineers / Analysts. Based in Expleo offices, you will be assigned to a major new defence project, where your skills and experience in Structural Analysis / FEA will be fully utilized.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to) :

  • Interfacing with UK-based teams to understand technical issues, specifications, and requirements.
  • Undertaking Finite Element Analysis simulations using Abaqus CAE of marine structural seats, brackets, and bolts.
  • Working with the customer to determine solutions for failed simulations.
  • Writing analysis reports.
  • Producing quality work while adhering to project budgets, time constraints, and accommodating changing requirements.
  • Applying correct processes, specifications, procedures, and techniques, working with support from specialist teams.

Qualifications

  • HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Essential Skills

  • FEA Modelling.
  • Abaqus CAE.
  • MathCAD (beneficial but not essential).
  • Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in stress analysis.
  • Marine engineering experience is desirable.
