Senior Syndicate Accountant

I am currently working with a specialist Lloyd's insurer who is looking for a senior syndicate accountant to join their financial accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation, timely delivery, and presentation of the Syndicate-related financial results to the Syndicate Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the Syndicate general ledger, including the delivery of all Balance Sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Review and approve monthly Syndicate balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage external Syndicate audit processes during statutory cycles as required.
• Assist in preparing the monthly report, syndicate executive pack, and quarterly syndicate board packs.
• Support and review the production of all necessary regulatory returns and internal planning.
• Provide data in specified formats to Group Reporting, Risk, and other departments.
• Train junior staff members and enable the team to have the necessary job knowledge and / or professional qualifications.
