Job Description :

The role involves growing WRc's internal capabilities, building a high-performing team, and positioning the business as a leader in public health & water quality consulting and research.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership : Lead and develop WRc's Water Quality team, setting vision, goals, and strategic direction.
  • Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities to expand WRc’s services, and secure new business.
  • Proposal Development : Lead proposal development to meet client requirements.
  • Technical Leadership of Projects : Oversee delivery of multidisciplinary projects ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise : Provide thought leadership and insights into Public Health, Water Quality, Toxicology, Microbiology, Water Safety Planning, or related fields.

Person Specification :

  • PhD and / or MSc in Microbiology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in leadership and line-management roles.
  • Member of a relevant professional body and Chartered Scientist or similar chartership.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and develop teams.
  • Extensive experience in Public Health, Water Quality, Toxicology, Microbiology, Water Safety Planning, or Water Quality Regulation.
  • Full UK driving license required.
