Position :

BA Business Management degree introduces students to key aspects of business, enabling them to gain theoretical knowledge and develop practical, analytical, and critical thinking skills to become innovative future business leaders. The Business Management Lecturer role focuses on creating holistic teaching and learning experiences within a business specialty, ensuring student engagement and success. The candidate must have a proven track record in fostering student success and possess strong industry links to enrich the blended delivery of the course.

Our courses are delivered over weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required, providing flexibility to meet programme and institutional needs.

As the Business Management Lecturer, you will work directly with the subject lead to deliver the current and new curriculum, encompassing all aspects of learning, teaching, and assessment. This role also offers an opportunity to collaborate with and support the Subject Lead in curriculum development, engage in research or professional practice, and contribute to extracurricular activities such as staff development and cross-college initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modules within your discipline.

Requirements :

  • Experience teaching across all levels (4-6), with L3 and L7 considered desirable.
  • Ability to set, promote, and maintain high standards in teaching, delivery, and curriculum development.
  • Responsibilities include course management, planning, curriculum development, assessment, resource planning, online resource creation, and administration to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, monitor progress, and maintain records.
  • Maintain strong links with industry and professional bodies, staying updated with the latest developments.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching strategies.
  • Utilize ICT to enhance learning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activity relevant to the discipline.
  • Participate in course meetings, examination boards, and related activities.
  • Assist in course and college administration tasks as required.

Other duties include adhering to policies on equality, diversity, health and safety, and data protection, along with undertaking additional responsibilities appropriate to the role.
