Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Gorton)

Start Date : September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Rate : £89 – £100

Are you a confident Maths graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for numeracy? A well-regarded secondary school in Gorton is looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 from September .

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to help close the attainment gap and support pupils' progress in Maths, working alongside a dynamic teaching team in a school that values high expectations and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities :

Support students in class and through targeted small group interventions in Maths

Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging Maths lessons

Help students with exam preparation and understanding core concepts

Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Promote a positive and confident attitude towards numeracy

Ideal Candidate :

A Maths graduate or TA with strong numeracy skills

Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring or mentoring)

A proactive, encouraging, and patient communicator

Committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning

Organised, reliable, and confident in classroom settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
