What you’ll do :

We are a passionate and supportive Children in Care team dedicated to delivering high-quality services for children, their families, carers, and wider networks. Using a strength-based approach, we focus on promoting children’s wellbeing and maintaining positive family relationships to achieve the best outcomes. This rewarding yet challenging role is ideal for experienced social workers confident in managing complex caseloads and conducting holistic assessments to identify risk and need. You’ll work closely with multi-agency partners to develop and review care plans, and collaborate with health and education professionals to create tailored support packages for children with complex needs. We offer a collaborative environment with peer support, reflective supervision, mentoring, and a creative team spirit.

What we’re looking for :

  • Essential Qualifications & Experience : A Social Work qualification is required, and experience working with children in care is desirable.
  • Legislative Knowledge : A solid understanding of key legislation is necessary, including the Children’s Act 1989 (as amended), Children’s Act 2002, Care Act 2014, and Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Professional Expertise : Experience with statutory provisions is expected, especially in working with Children in Care and those involved in Care Proceedings.
  • Communication & Multi-Agency Collaboration : Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to navigate and work effectively within multi-agency systems.
