This is a hands‑on role within a collaborative finance function, offering a mix of monthly reporting, analysis, and team support, with real exposure to senior stakeholders and group‑level finance.
The Role :
As Senior Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in the month‑end close process, supporting multiple business units with accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Take ownership of monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including P&L, balance sheet reporting, and variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Oversee day-to-day ledger activities, including review of purchase and sales transactions
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion
- Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries across the business and with external partners
- Assist with the monitoring of stock levels and inventory processes to support accurate reporting
- Maintain and review reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Provide mentoring and day-to-day support to junior members of the finance team
About You :
Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance roleConfident producing full sets of management accounts with strong attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of finance systemsOrganised and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentClear communicator who thrives in a collaborative team settingPart-qualified, finalist, or fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)Why Join This Business?
