Job Title : RICS Building Surveyor – Education Sector Location : Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire Sector : Educational Premises Type : Full-Time / Permanent The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified RICS Building Surveyor to provide professional surveying and project management services within the education sector. This role is ideal for a driven and client-focused individual with experience in supporting schools, academies, and educational institutions. You will be responsible for delivering building surveying services across a portfolio of educational premises, ensuring high standards of service, value, and integrity throughout. Key Responsibilities

• Undertake condition surveys and produce detailed reports.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents.
• Manage refurbishment and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
• Provide expert advice on building defects, statutory compliance, and remedial works.
• Assist with funding applications such as the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF).
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through strong communication and commitment. Requirements
• Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS).
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the education sector.
• Solid understanding of building construction, regulations, and project delivery.
• Experience with public sector frameworks and procurement.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
