We are looking for Lead DevOps Engineer. You will lead a multi-functional agile delivery team supporting the DevOps Engineers to build in quality, using industry best practices, to the products that make up services used by millions of people.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
You and your role
You'll be working in a DWP DevSecOps team, helping to protect DWP and out users against threats.
Do you love working with new tech? Can you use new techniques to defend against global cyber threats? Are you an engaging leader with advanced technical and engineering skills?
As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will have a proven experience in the development, deployment and support of software applications and services that are focused on stability, availability and quality.
You will have the opportunity to promote technical evolution within our organisation, and to find, test, agree and adopt emerging technologies.
You will also develop and support our Engineering capability by rewarding high performers, shaping career paths and recruiting talent to the organisation.
As a Lead DevOps you will make complex decisions, involving a wide range of solutions, possibly affecting several work areas within the organisation.
Coming in as a Lead DevOps Engineer you will be working closely with our senior practitioners, sharing information, providing advice and support around technical choices, implementation approach, resourcing an identifying skills gaps.

Location : You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working : We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay : We offer pay of up to £89,995.
Pension : You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £ 21,050 per year.
Holidays : A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
