About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to be our Lead Project Officer. Working flexibly from home, with extensive travel throughout Stoke-on-Trent, the successful candidate will lead their team, working closely with Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent and in partnership with the University Hospital North Midlands NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC). The goal is to develop improvements for local people in the quality, experience, and outcomes of NHS services.

Working hours and location

Part-time, flexible, 30 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends. Home-based with frequent travel across Stoke-on-Trent.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective community and stakeholder outreach, especially with groups experiencing health inequalities.
• Establish and maintain a reference user group (RUG) with a strong local presence.
• Secure community involvement and participation to ensure all views are represented.
• Engage with external organizations and partners, utilizing digital platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube for communication and outreach.
• Promote understanding and feedback on NHS treatment and care experiences.
