Job descriptionCirca 4 / 5 years experience Ideally CEng or IEng qualified with a professional body i.e. ICE, IStructE Demonstratable experience in a Civil Engineering role, ideally acting as CRE, CRE under mentorship Experience of civil engineering design and in the railway industry, including an understanding of Network Rail standards A Civil Engineering degree (MEng preferred but not critical) Knowledge of civil design and construction principles and standards Eurocode experience Experience in delivering to safety standards and CDM / CSM requirements Experience of commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets / timescales Proficient in the use of computer analysis programs e.g. TEDDS and Supersuite. Knowledge of producing drawings by using 2D / 3D Microstation
Responsibilities
- Prepare outline and detailed design for a wide array of civil engineering projects
- Follow check and approve procedures throughout project delivery
- Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM / CSM legislation
- Engage with clients and support successful project delivery
- Contribute to company goals and business improvement
- Continue your own professional development
- Support junior staff development
