Canteen assistant

Job Description

Salary : £12.21 per hour

Key responsibilities include :

Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing salads / sandwiches cooking breakfast, preparing desserts plating dishes)

Customer service is at the heart of everything we do either serving food, creating food making a coffee communication skills are key

Cash handling experience, we operate Epos and cash system

Keeping all kitchen areas clean, hygienic, and organized at all times

Operating dishwashing equipment and handwashing kitchenware

Handling deliveries and ensuring stock is stored properly

Daily / Weekly deep cleaning schedules

Emptying bins, cleaning floors, and maintaining general hygiene

Following all food safety and health regulations

Helping with stock rotation and reporting low inventory levels

Exceptional personnel hygiene and food safety, compliance to all Allergen management and completion of necessary paperwork and documentation

Flexibility to cover sickness, holidays

Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not essential — training will be provided
