Role Overview

As an Mechanical Engineer supporting the MechanicalEngineeringLead, you will play acritical rolein the delivery of infrastructure and asset development projects at a major dockyard facility. You will work across various stages of project delivery, fromscopinganddesignthrough to implementation, testing and commissioning. Yourtechnicalinput will directly contribute to maintaining and enhancing facility infrastructure to meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.

While the MechanicalEngineeringLead will oversee and guide your work, your role will require a hands-on, detail-oriented approach and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Work transparently with variousengineeringdiscipline leads / teams to provide clear and concise reports and information regarding progress and management of Risk and Opportunities in relation to theEngineeringactivities.
• Bring learnings & operational best practices from other engagements.
• Undertaketechnicaland feasibility studies and siteinvestigations
• Develop detailed requirement specifications
• Support projects as they evolve through theproject engineeringlifecycles
• Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist roles
• Communicate and liaise effectively with a wide set of project stakeholders
• Support governance meetings.
• Think both creatively and logically to resolvedesignand development problems
• Be adaptable, asproject requirementsevolve, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project
• Compile and peer review project andtechnicalreports.
