Transport Manager

Interaction are seeking a Transport Manager to work for a client based in West Yorkshire.

    • The Role

  • Lead and manage the drivers and office staff at the depot including driver issues / queries and any operational challenges
  • Report and manage incidents that involve vehicle safety
  • Conduct 1-1’s with the driving team
  • Collaborate with other depots to drive business efficiency and performance
  • Create and manage driver rotas, considering holidays and increase workload
  • Route planning, ensuring all routes are compliant with weight and height restrictions whilst ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Communicate with clients, resolving queries and providing ETA’s when required
  • KPI management – Monitoring daily KPI’s and ensuring the business is on track

    • Requirements

  • Transport Manager CPC with proof of a completed refresher in the last 5 years
  • Sound knowledge of licence regulations
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, fleet management and logistics operations
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
