Job description

Job Title :  Warehouse Operative (Back Shift)

Location :   EH48 2FB

Start Date :   ASAP

Contract Length : 12 weeks- Temporary initially opportunity for Permanent

Pay Rate :   £12.38 per hour

Working Hours :   12pm-8pm (5 days over 7 on 3 weekly rotating)

Week 1 days off Thursday / Friday

Week 2 days off Tuesday / Wednesday

Week 3 days off Monday / Saturday / Sunday

Hours may vary and overtime may be required

Please note that you must be able to drive and have your own vehicle as there is NO public transport to the warehouse.

Main duties :

  • Unloading deliveries and checking them against order forms or invoices
  • Working in a cold environment- Chilled / Refrigerated area
  • Operate barcode scanners or handheld devices to track inventory and ensure correct picking.
  • Verifying that the orders picked and packed match the customer’s specifications, checking for any discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
  • Handling heavy lifting as part of the job
  • Working as part of a supportive team

Key Skills :

  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Being able to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and keep track of orders
  • Efficiently managing time ensures that tasks are completed promptly.
  • Reliable and able to work the rotating shift pattern
  • Good attention to detail
  • Previous warehouse experience
