Job Role : Employment Advisor Location : Shropshire, SY2 Working Hours : To be arranged at the interview Assignment Period : 3-6 months contract Contract Type : Full time Join Shropshire Council’s Enable team, a dedicated service helping people with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and other barriers to employment find and sustain meaningful work. We’re currently looking for an Employment Advisor to join our Work and Health Programme, providing tailored advice and support to help clients overcome challenges and secure sustainable jobs. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide personalised employment advice and support
• Build positive, motivational relationships with clients
• Deliver 1 : 1 and group sessions focused on job search, confidence-building, and skills development
• Support clients with CV writing, applications, interview prep and job retention
• Liaise with employers, training providers and referral agencies
• Track progress and maintain accurate client records What We’re Looking For :
• Experience in employability, advice and guidance, or a similar support role
• Passion for helping others succeed and overcome barriers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised, proactive and goal-oriented
