Lead with Compassion at a Specialist Dementia and Mental Health Care Home
Our care home provides high-quality, specialist care for up to 75 residents living with dementia and mental health conditions. We believe in creating a nurturing, inclusive community where each resident is valued, supported, and respected.
We are now looking for a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) who shares our passion for outstanding care. If you are dedicated, compassionate, and ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of others, we would love to hear from you.
What we offer :
- 20.80 per hour
- Paid NMC registration
- Contracted to 40.25 hours per week (dayshift)
- Onsite parking
- Paid DBS
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What you will do :
Craft personalised care plans – Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans that reflect each person’s unique needsEnsure accuracy – Record daily care and observations with precision, ensuring clear and legal documentationLead with confidence – Organise and guide your team at the start of every shift, promoting a positive and focused working environmentSupport smooth transitions – Lead effective shift handovers and maintain continuity of careMonitor health – Conduct regular observations and address individual healthcare needs with care and attentionAdminister medications – Follow MAR charts and protocols to safely administer medicationsBuild relationships – Develop strong, trust-based relationships with residents, families, and colleaguesPromote independence – Support residents in daily activities, fostering independence wherever possibleAct on feedback – Respond to concerns and suggestions to ensure the best possible outcomes for residentsChampion dignity and respect – Uphold each resident’s right to be treated with compassion, understanding, and dignityEncourage engagement – Facilitate social interaction and activities to support a vibrant, welcoming communityPrioritise safety – Ensure a safe environment for residents and staff at all timesSupport nutrition – Monitor hydration and nutrition needs, particularly for residents at riskRespond to emergencies – Be prepared to act quickly and effectively when needed, using reflective practice to continuously improveWhat we’re looking for :
A Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PINPrevious care home experience is an advantage, but not essential – we value passion, empathy, and a desire to growA calm, caring nature and the ability to build genuine connections with residents, families, and team membersExcellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to careAbout us :
