Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Fluid Connectors Division on a permanent basis being part of the Chem / Pharma & Alternative Energy team responsible and accountable for the sales and growth of the Chemical & Pharmaceutical markets, this role will cover Northern UK (area above WS / LE / PE postcodes) inclusive of Scotland as required.
The main responsibilities for this role are :
- Ensure effective budget planning and execution to meet financial targets.
- Achieve agreed revenue growth targets through solution selling
- Develop ambitious and achievable business plans with support of the Local Heads of Business
- Continue to grow revenues in both new and existing businesses through business development activities
- Engage and support current customers (Chemical & Pharmaceutical Markets)
Target 30 visits (face-to-face or video conference) per month
Nurture and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfactionIdentify and develop new business opportunities in line with strategic goalsCollaborate with wider team to deliver tailored solutions and drive engagementPrepare and present proposals, technical specifications, and negotiate pricing
Provide accurate sales reports, forward opportunities and sales forecastingEffective use of CRM to develop and maintain a sales pipelinePre-planning activity & recording of relevant activities
Allocating and forward tasksAlign with our Company’s vision, values and target behavioursWe are ideally looking for someone to be based in the YO or TS Postcode areas.
Qualifications
Minimum requirement of HNC in an Engineering discipline or relevant experienceMinimum of 5 years external technical sales / account management experiencePrevious experience of selling direct into the chemical industry, selling solutions to the End User and OEM sectors ideally from an ‘added value’ approach by identifying problems and offering either standard or specifically designed solutions.Account Management and develop new customersExcellent communication and negotiation skillsA proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for building relationshipsComfortable working independently while contributing as part of a high-performing teamWilling and able to travel across the Northern UK AreaFull UK driving license requiredAdditional Information
