39 hours per week, from 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday

THE ROLE

We are looking for a HGV Driver to work as part of our Pilkington Gateshead team, with particular responsibility for delivering products to customers in accordance with our safety, quality and efficiency standards.

The main responsibilities include :

• Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination.
• Maintaining a professional appearance at all times in both presence and driving style.
• Maintaining high standards to the delivery vehicle
• Adhering to despatch schedules and be willing to make changes at short notice in order to meet customer requirements.
• Maintaining work records as per Company and legislative requirements, including delivery paperwork and tachographs
• Involvement in process improvement teams as required.

Providing cover for other areas of the business (including loading vehicles) as and when required.
