Functional Skills Tutor

A highly regarded and well-established training provider in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a passionate and committed Maths Tutor to deliver Functional Skills and Entry Level Maths to small groups of young learners in a nurturing, supportive environment. This role is working 4.5 days per week, with every Friday finishes at 12noon with the choice of working from home on Fridays. About the Role As a Maths Tutor, you’ll deliver tailored Maths sessions to learners aged 16–24 who are working towards Functional Skills or Entry Level qualifications. Many of these learners may have faced previous barriers to learning, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), social disadvantage, or a lack of confidence in academic settings. This role isn’t just about curriculum delivery, it’s about engagement, building trust, and creating a safe space where learners can rediscover a love for learning.
