An exciting opportunity has opened up at a fast-growing fintech undergoing a major platform transformation who are looking for a Principal Performance Engineer to establish and scale a modern performance testing function.

You'll have the autonomy to define strategy, build tooling, and create performance environments in a multi-cloud / on-prem architecture. This is a high-impact, highly visible role with influence across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.

What you’ll be doing :

• Leading performance testing strategy and implementation across the stack
• Designing and managing dedicated performance test environments
• Building scalable, production-replica load scenarios
• Driving a shift-left performance culture across engineering
• Identifying bottlenecks, tuning infrastructure, and enabling high availability
• Advising senior stakeholders on system health and performance risks
