Y our new role The Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods or passengers. This role ensures compliance with all relevant transport legislation and company policies, while leading a team of drivers and logistics staff to deliver high standards of service. Plan, coordinate, and manage transport operations to meet business objectives. Ensure compliance with transport laws, regulations, and health & safety standards. Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure fleet availability. Monitor transport costs and implement cost-saving initiatives. Recruit, train, and supervise drivers and transport staff. Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, driver hours, and fuel usage. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries. Investigate and resolve transport-related issues or complaints. Prepare reports and present performance metrics to senior management.
