About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Networking Trainer to deliver high impact, blended training (online and in-person). You'll bring foundational and advanced networking topics to life, aligned with Cisco CCST and CCNA certifications, and prepare learners for real world tech support and infrastructure roles.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver structured training (live and virtual) on topics ranging from Networking Fundamentals to Advanced Routing & VLANs.
  • Translate technical content into real-world scenarios and interactive labs using Cisco, VMware, and other industry standard technologies.
  • Coach learners through hands on activities like racking and stacking, packet tracing, and Wireshark diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with a technical curriculum team to provide feedback on learner performance and course delivery.
  • Consult occasionally on learner assessments, career readiness, and course improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Teach (Core Topics)

Aligned with the CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCST / CCNA, Cisco SD-WAN you’ll cover :

Networking Fundamentals & Safety

  • OSI model, TCP / IP stack, DNS, DHCP, NAT
  • Wireless networks, VLANs, STP, routing protocols (RIP / OSPF)

    • Network Infrastructure & Configuration

  • Cisco router / switch setup, CLI commands, VLANs & trunking
  • Physical racking and stacking (with MoD compliance awareness)
  • VMware ESXi basics, endpoint setup, cabling standards (CAT6, fiber)
  • Wireshark packet analysis, diagnostic commands (ping, tracert, nslookup)
  • Real-world fault isolation, SD-WAN concepts
  • Connectivity drops, DHCP conflicts, app-layer faults

    • Cybersecurity Awareness

  • Security best practices, escalation, and legal considerations (GDPR)

    • What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in networking or IT training (corporate or bootcamp style).
  • Strong delivery skills in both classroom and online environments.
  • Comfortable training across Cisco CCST / CCNA, CompTIA Network+, and VMware ESXi.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to early career learners with varied backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of military / MoD compliance protocols is a plus.
