Science Teacher

Science Teacher - Ealing, West London

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a successful and oversubscribed secondary school in the Ealing area to recruit a Science Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in January 2026 until July 2026.

This is a full-time role across KS3 and KS4, suitable for experienced teachers or strong ECTs. The contract will run for at least two terms, with the potential for extension. Working hours are 8 : 30am to 3 : 30pm, and pay will be in line with the Outer London MPS / UPS. The school is well-served by public transport and also has on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that challenge and inspire students.

Teach general science across KS3 and KS4 (specialisms welcome but not essential).

Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.

Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life.

Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement.

Person Specification :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge in science (biology, chemistry, or physics)

Passionate about science education and inspiring young learners

Effective communicator with excellent classroom management skills

Committed to inclusive and high-quality teaching
