Job descriptionMinimum 3 years' experience in estimating. Apprenticeship background (desirable, but not essential). Familiarity with Cypher estimating software (desirable, but not essential). Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel. Experience with high-end residential projects (desirable, but not essential). Salary : Competitive (£50,000 - £65,000 per annum). Bonus : Annual performance bonus. Holidays : 22 days, increasing by 1 day annually (up to 30 days), plus Bank Holidays. Half-day off on your birthday (weekday only). Equipment Provided : iPhone and laptop. Additional perks : Deliveroo lunch every Friday. Summer and Christmas parties. Fresh fruit provided daily. 1-day remote work per week after probation.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Review project documentation and verify against the Drawing Register.
- Perform take-offs and assess project complexity, identifying potential risks.
- Analyze specifications and project documentation.
- Send enquiries to specialists and issue RFIs as required.
- Input data into Cypher estimating software.
- Prepare tender letters and summaries for submission.
- Lead pre-bid meetings with management.
- Participate in pre-, mid-, and post-tender meetings.
- Conduct Value Engineering analysis on tenders when necessary.
- Attend site visits during tender stages.
- Ensure smooth handover of secured projects to the Contracts Manager.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations for accuracy and compliance.
- Occasionally assist with large project variations.
