Senior DSP Engineer – Aerospace Communications | Milton Keynes | UK On-Site

A stealth aerospace innovator is looking for a Senior DSP Engineer to drive the development of high-performance signal processing systems for next-gen airborne and orbital platforms.

You’ll work on the full DSP stack – from algorithm modelling to VHDL implementation – building hardware-optimised systems for real-time mission-critical comms.

Key Focus Areas :

VHDL / UVM design of FFTs, filters, timing / carrier loops
Fixed-point and floating-point modelling (MATLAB / Python)
Simulation of channel impairments (Doppler, Gaussian noise, multipath)
Translating comms theory into practical, launch-ready systems

Essential :

6+ years in DSP for communications

Deep knowledge of modem architectures and digital comms theory

Strong VHDL design and debugging skills

Excellent MATLAB / Python modelling capability

Bonus :

Experience with DVB-S2X, CCSDS, or satellite protocols

Real-time parallel processing or FPGA pipeline optimisation
