Mechanical Design Engineer required for a leading manufacturer in appliance design, based in Ayrshire. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in mechanical engineering and CAD Design.

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview

• Provide mechanical design and development for new and existing products.
• Communicate and liaise with customers on design aspects of the process.
• Complete design and associated tasks to meet production timescales.
• Provide build specifications, engineering instructions, and technical assistance for the production process.
• Assist in reviewing workshop activity, build stations, and addressing production and product quality issues as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Resolve problems and improve manufacturability and serviceability of products working with manufacturing and service personnel.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings and technical documentation related to product design and build.
• Record and update design activity details for production projects.
