Summary

Freedom Network Services is currently recruiting an experienced Operational Estimator to compile comprehensive estimations in line with supplied documentation and current standards.

As an EHV Senior Cost Estimator, you will lead surveying and pricing for new Connection Projects and be responsible for managing and delivering accurate, tailored estimates efficiently. The Estimator plays a key role in driving company growth by ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with client specifications.

You should demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with or pricing local DNO networks and / or National Grid projects, including ICP and IDNO connections. Typical projects include scaffolding, trackway, traffic management, materials, plant, equipment, and resources.

Key responsibilities include :

• Preparing quotations from specifications and drawings within specified timeframes
• Conducting on-site surveys and assessments, evaluating risks and potential issues
• Evaluating options and alternatives
• Checking the accuracy and completeness of third-party documents and engineering specifications
• Liaising with procurement, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain the best quotations
• Collaborating with operational colleagues
• Attending handover meetings to explain project scope, estimates, clarifications, and assumptions
