Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Technical Application Service Specialist (TASS) to join our Observability Team within the Service & Run Lab in Edinburgh. The role involves ensuring full-stack visibility and operational health across critical payment systems.

You will collaborate with our application support DevOps Labs to utilize observability platforms such as Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and system performance optimization.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in dashboard development in Splunk and Dynatrace, aligning dashboards with SLAs and performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of configuring alerts, reducing noise, and automating alert routing in collaboration with Technical Recovery Managers.
  • Proficiency in Splunk SPL, report scheduling, app management, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to conduct proactive system performance analysis and generate reports for stakeholders.
  • Development of scripts for automation and integration of observability tools with CI / CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with management and support teams.
  • Experience in an Incident Management environment.

Additional useful experience

  • Familiarity with infrastructure, application architecture, and cloud monitoring (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCP).
