Project Manager

Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for a Project Manager, ideally with strong mechanical process knowledge, to oversee a major heat off-take project at their Energy from Waste Power Station in Croydon, South London.

The vital Project Manager comes with a competitive basic salary + bonus + benefits. The role will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of Q1, 2027.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for :

• Contributing towards the selection of contract execution strategy and make recommendations for most effective delivery strategy.
• Coordinate production of basis of design and optioneering exercises to ensure clear definition of project scope of work.
• Oversee the successful delivery of all aspects of the design, procurement and execution of the project.
• Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with all technical, HSE, legislative and budget requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces with operations and the Energy Services Company (ESCo) to ensure smooth integration of the ERF’s heat recovery equipment and the ERF's heat pipe to ensure both heat off-take and supply are provided in accordance with the agreement.
• Develop, maintain and coordinate the project execution programmes.
• Generate and secure CAPEX cost application requests and maintaining approved budgets undertaking regular variance analyses and forecasting.
• Coordinate with all project stakeholders and lead regular meetings with effective agendas.
• Manage the contractual relationship with client’s consultants and ensure the consultant is performing in accordance with the agreement.
