Locum Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - High Pay, Flexible Contract in East Midlands!

Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding locum role in the East Midlands? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

  • Job Title : Occupational Therapist (Band 6)
  • Location : East Midlands
  • Duration : 6 months
  • Schedule : Full time, Monday to Friday
  • Start Date : ASAP
  • End Date : 6 months from start date (extension possible)

What You'll Be Doing :

Join our team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and play a key role in supporting adults with complex needs in a community / local authority setting. In this role, you will :

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of need with clients of various disabilities
  • Create and implement personalised care and adaptation plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including major adaptations and specialist equipment provision
  • Complete DFG applications and manual handling assessments
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-agency professionals to ensure holistic care
  • Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care systems

    • Requirements & Qualifications :

    To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • A current and valid HCPC registration
  • Substantial local authority experience
  • Proven expertise in assessing for major adaptations and DFG applications
  • Strong skills in manual handling techniques and equipment assessments
  • Familiarity with Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) systems
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

    • Working Hours & Contract Duration :

    This full-time role requires availability Monday to Friday. The contract is for an initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension based on service needs and performance.
