Locum Commercial Lawyer - South West - Remote Working – £60 Umbrella

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the South West on an interim basis.

This is a full-time position, initially for 3 months, with a likely extension. The role offers the flexibility of remote working, with occasional attendance at meetings.

The position offers an hourly rate of up to £60 via umbrella.

Key duties and responsibilities include :

• Specialising in procurement, contracts, and development projects.
• Advising, drafting, and negotiating legal agreements to protect the Authority's interests.
• Providing legal advice to various in-house clients across all directorates.
• Advising on contracts and procurement, especially in the post-Brexit environment.
• Handling contracts on behalf of the Authority.
• Supporting development projects with legal guidance.
• Addressing legal issues affecting a public body generally.
