Job Opportunity : Driver at Heatherwood Court, Pontypridd

We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver to support the team at Heatherwood Court, Pontypridd . This role involves assisting our service users to attend activities and appointments. As a driver, you will act as a secondary Support Worker when out in the community. Therefore, in addition to a clean UK driving licence, ideally, you will have experience in a similar role within the care sector and possess compassion for others.

Details of the role :

  • Part-time, 2 days a week, with an 8-hour shift
  • Flexible hours to meet service needs
  • Alternating shifts : one week Thursday and Friday; the next Saturday and Sunday

Located in the countryside near Cardiff, Heatherwood Court offers accommodation across four single-gender units.

Established in 2008, Heatherwood Court provides forensic treatment and rehabilitation for individuals who meet the following criteria :

  • Adults with severe and enduring mental illness requiring a low secure environment
  • Male and female mentally disordered offenders requiring a low secure environment
  • Women with mental health needs and personality disorders requiring a locked ward

    • The focus at Heatherwood is on rehabilitation and recovery, helping patients develop relationship and life skills, resilience, and coping strategies to promote emotional stability and facilitate successful community reintegration.
